ROVEMA Global Packaging Group, LLC, has retroactively to 01/01/2009 acquired the Hassia-Redatron GmbH, Butzbach and will also acquire the packaging unit of Piltz Verpackungstechnik, Heidenheim effective on 01/06/2009.

With the acquisition of the Piltz's packaging unit the company's name will be changed to Hassia-Piltz GmbH, based in Butzbach, Hessen, Germany.

The machine range of the Hassia-Piltz Group perfectly complements the ROVEMA portfolio. With the single- and multilane form/fill/ seal machines for 3- and 4-side sealed bags ROVEMA will now be able to meet the market needs for portion and petite packs.

Further synergy effects are expected in the packaging of fluids.

Within the coming months ROVEMA's sales organization will manage all activities of Hassia-Piltz. Integration of the service and spare parts department will take effect immediately and is planned to move in 2008 newly ROVEMA Customer Service Center.
