Deutscher Verpackungspreis 2008 for Traypacker ETIL
Packaging machine manufacturer ROVEMA in Fernwald is one of the award winners of the “Deutscher Verpackungspreis”. The celebration has taken place on the occasion of the European beverage exhibition “BRAU Beviale” in Nuremberg where the „Deutsches Verpackungsinstitut“ awarded the prize on the Nov 12th. ROVEMA’s tray packer ETIL 432 was decorated in the category machine technology.

„The tray packer units an innovative packaging process with a pioneering drive system. The possibilities resulting out of that are converted consequently to a straight machine concept: safe handling of the product on one level, compact design by saving workstations maximum process sensitivity and flexibility. The reduction of the number of components decreases the moving mass and reduces

set-up and maintenance effort. All advantages of direct drives are used in an exemplary way,” says the statement of the jury.

The application of linear servo drive technology enables a free programming and control of motion sequences – this is a special advantage for machines of final packaging. By the adapted and smooth motion control of the axes the whole packaging process runs harmoniously, quickly and quiet – thus taking care of product and packaging material and ensuring the necessary functional certainity – at a high performance of 25 trays/min.!

Tray packer ETIL is prepared for the packaging of bags in trays and L-trays, as desired with lid or with lid in U-form. It is very easy to clean due to the hygienic design rendering the machine visible and accessible from all sides. The rapid format change in less than 10 minutes is reproducible by user-specific parameter, adjusting spindles, semi-automatic format adjustment and format parts. Thus downtimes are reduced and an economic, effective production run is guaranteed.
